MOVIN TRACIN and MOVIN Studio communicate via a direct Ethernet connection. Please follow the steps below to ensure a stable connection between your device and PC.

1. Connect MOVIN TRACIN to Your PC via Ethernet

  • On the bottom of MOVIN TRACIN, you’ll find two ports: one for power and one for Ethernet.

  • Using the included Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet port on MOVIN TRACIN to your PC’s Ethernet port.

2. Power On MOVIN TRACIN

  • Connect the circular power adapter jack to the power port on MOVIN TRACIN and plug it into an outlet.

    • If you connected power before Ethernet, unplug the power briefly and reconnect it.

  • Wait 1 to 1.5 minutes. When the front LED turns solid green, the device is powered and ready.

    • If the LED doesn’t light up or blinks, unplug the power jack and reconnect it.

3. Configure the Network Settings on Your PC

  1. Open Windows Search and type “View Network Connections” to access the network settings

    • Alternatively, navigate to: Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings

  2. Right-click the Ethernet or Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.

  3. Double-click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”.

  4. Select “Use the following IP address” and enter the following details, and click OK to save:

    • IP Address: 192.168.2.77

    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

  • This configuration is saved and doesn’t need to be repeated. If you need to use the Ethernet port for internet later, return to Step 3-4 and select “Obtain an IP address automatically.”

4. Verify Connection in MOVIN Studio

  • In MOVIN Studio, click the 'Verify Connection' button in the center of the screen.

  • If the connection is successful:

    • A green message will appear: 'Device successfully connected.'

    • The top-right status changes from 'Device Disconnected' to 'Device Connected'.

  • Click the 'Device Connected' button or the X at the top-right of the modal to proceed.

  • If you see 'Device connection failed. Please check the power/ethernet and IP settings.', follow these checks:

    • Check the LED on MOVIN TRACIN:

      • Off = Power is not connected properly. Reconnect the adapter.

      • Blinking = Ethernet is not properly connected. Re-plug the Ethernet cable.

    • Access the device via browser:

      • Open your browser and visit: http://192.168.2.100:8000

      • If the page doesn't load, recheck power and Ethernet connections.
