MOVIN Tracin Package

MOVIN’s Tracin hardware is securely delivered in a package to prevent damage during transit.

Before assembling the device, ensure that all items are included in your package:

If any items are missing, please contact us via the cs-chat channel on MOVIN’s Discord server. We’ll resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

How to Assemble MOVIN Tracin

This section mirrors the instructions in the Tracin Setup Manual. If you’ve already read it and completed the assembly, feel free to move on to the next section, MOVIN Studio Installation.

1. Prepare the Tripod

Spread the tripod out as wide as possible, without extending the legs.

• Do not extend the tripod legs—simply spread them out as wide as possible.

  • The most accurate full-body motion capture can be achieved when the tripod legs are not extended.

2. Attach Tracin to the Tripod

Place the Tracin device on top of the tripod.

• Place the Tracin device on top of the tripod, and secure it by turning the quick mount clockwise (to the left).

  • Clockwise (left) tightens the mount, while counterclockwise (right) loosens it.

• Before proceeding, double-check that Tracin is firmly attached to the tripod.

3. Define the Motion Capture Zone

• The motion capture zone (MoCap Zone) is the area where Tracin detects human movement. Follow these steps to define the zone:

Mark MoCap Zone with tape. Cross mark (+) at below shows where Tracin will be placed.

• Mark a point 3m in front of Tracin with tape.

  • This will serve as the center of the zone.

• Use the center point to mark a 3m (width) x 3m (length) square area, indicating all four corners with tape.

  • The start line begins 1.5m in front of Tracin, and the center is at 3m.

• Remove all objects within the MoCap Zone.

  • Objects in the zone may interfere with motion capture quality.

  • If clearing the space isn’t possible, reduce the MoCap Zone size during the MOVIN Studio setup process.

    • MoCap Zone can be set as small as 1m x 1m or as large as 3m x 3m.

4. Check Tracin’s Level

Check Tracin's level from circular level indicator on top.

• A circular level indicator is equipped with on the top of Tracin.

  • Ensure the bubble inside the level is within the red circle.

  • If Tracin isn’t level, motion capture data may be inaccurate. Consider relocating Tracin to a flat, stable surface.
