MOVIN TRACIN Setup

MOVIN TRACIN Package

MOVIN TRACIN is securely packaged to prevent damage during shipping.

Before assembling the device, please verify that all components are included:

  • User manual

  • Power supply

  • Tripod

  • Ethernet cable

How to Assemble MOVIN TRACIN

This section follows the same instructions as the MOVIN TRACIN Setup Manual. If you’ve already completed the assembly, feel free to skip ahead to the next section, MOVIN Studio Setup.

1. Set Up the Tripod

You should set the tripod's height depending on the model of MOVIN TRACIN.

  • Extend the tripod to the recommended height depending on your model:

    • For MT-110, set the height to 50 cm

    • For MT-200, set the height to 85 cm

  • Ensure the tripod legs are spread out fully and stably.

2. Mount MOVIN TRACIN to the Tripod

Place MOVIN TRACIN on the tripod head.

  • Mounting method varies depending on the type of quick mount on your tripod:

  • Manual Quick Mount:

    • Place MOVIN TRACIN on the tripod head.

    • Turn the quick mount clockwise (to the left) to lock it.

    • To detach, turn it counterclockwise (to the right).

  • Auto Quick Mount:

    • Gently press MOVIN TRACIN down onto the tripod head until it clicks into place automatically.

    • To remove it, rotate the mount clockwise and lift the device.

    • If auto-lock fails, manually rotate the quick mount clockwise before positioning the device.

  • Before moving on, double-check that MOVIN TRACIN is firmly secured to the tripod.

3. Secure the Mocap Zone

  • The mocap zone is the space where MOVIN TRACIN captures human motion. Use the following guidelines to define and mark your mocap zone.

(+) mark in the picture is the place for setting MOVIN TRACIN.

  • The center of the mocap zone is located 3 meters in front of MOVIN TRACIN.

  • From this center point, the default range is 0.5m to 2.0m forward (toward MOVIN TRACIN), and 0.5m to 2.5m to the rear and sides.

    • We recommend clearly marking the center and corners with tape to distinguish the zone boundaries.

  • Remove all objects inside the mocap zone to avoid tracking interference.

    • If the space cannot be cleared, reduce the zone size during setup in MOVIN Studio.

4. Check the Device Level

Check the device level via a circular level indicator.

  • On top of MOVIN TRACIN, you'll find a circular level indicator.

  • Ensure the bubble is within the red circle to confirm the device is level.

    • If the device is tilted, your motion capture data may become distorted. Reposition the tripod on a stable, flat surface if necessary.
