To ensure MOVIN's hardware, Tracin, accurately perceives the physical environment, follow these calibration steps.
Center of the Screen:
Tracin's data capturing the ground is displayed as a point cloud.
A gray horizontal line in the center serves as the alignment baseline for the point cloud.
Right Sidebar Options:
Click “Side View” or “Front View” to adjust the point cloud’s side or front perspective.
Use the four navigation buttons to move the point cloud vertically or rotate it.
Ensure the topmost point of the cloud barely touches the gray horizontal line. for both 'Side View' and 'Front View'.
e.g. The point cloud in the picture of Brief Introduction about the Display is misaligned; the point cloud is little bit lower and tilted against the gray line.
Click the “Counterclockwise Rotation” button to correct the tilt, and click the “Up” button to lift the point cloud until it grazes the line.
Repeat the alignment process in 'Front View' to ensure proper adjustment.
Toggle between "Side View" and "Front View" for detailed adjustments.
Ensure the point cloud is level and just barely touching the horizontal line in both perspectives.
Once aligned, click the “Save” button to preserve your settings.
Navigate to the “Level Quality” section on the right panel and click the “Check” button.
Review the calibration status:
“Exceptional”: Calibration is complete, and you can proceed to the next step!
Otherwise: Repeat the alignment process to improve the calibration accuracy.
By completing this step, Tracin will be primed to deliver high-quality motion capture data.
Let’s move forward to unlock its full potential! 🚀
