MOVIN TRACIN Setup
You can follow the setup process for MOVIN TRACIN through the YouTube video above.
If you've already completed the hardware setup, feel free to skip ahead to the next section, MOVIN Studio Installation. The guide below provides a detailed walkthrough.
MOVIN TRACIN Package
MOVIN TRACIN is securely packaged to prevent damage during shipping.
Before assembling the device, please verify that all components are included:

Optional Accessories
MOVIN TRACIN Optional Accessories
Additional accessories may be required to ensure stable use of MOVIN TRACIN in certain environments. These need to be purchased separately if required.
USB to Ethernet Adapter
MOVIN TRACIN requires a direct wired connection between the device and the computer.
If your computer does not have enough Ethernet ports, please prepare a USB to Ethernet Adapter to maintain a direct connection.
Quick Mount System
To ensure secure attachment when installing MOVIN TRACIN on your tripod, a compatible mount system is recommended.
Please check that your selected mount features the required 3/8-inch thread specifications.
If you need to frequently attach and detach MOVIN TRACIN, a quick release system like the iFootage Seastar Q1S is recommended.
Tripod
MOVIN TRACIN needs to be installed at a specific height without shaking to obtain optimal data quality.
Please ensure the tripod is compatible with 3/8-inch thread specifications.
We recommend using tripods such as SLIK PRO AL-323 that can safely secure the MOVIN TRACIN.
Ethernet cable
If MOVIN TRACIN is installed far from the computer, please prepare an additional long Ethernet cable.
The cable must support RJ45, 1Gbps (1000 base-T) or higher. For a stable connection, please use a CAT6 or higher Ethernet cable.
How to Assemble MOVIN TRACIN
This section follows the same instructions as the MOVIN TRACIN Setup Manual.
If you’ve already completed the assembly, feel free to skip ahead to the next section, MOVIN Studio Installation.

Set Up the Tripod at a Height of 85 cm.
Set up the tripod at a height of 85cm.
Please install the tripod so that it is 85 cm above the ground.
MOVIN TRACIN (MT-20) achieves the most stable motion capture quality when installed at a height of 85 cm from the ground.
The installation height of MOVIN TRACIN has a significant impact on the quality of the motion capture data.

Install mounts to MOVIN TRACIN and the tripod.

Mount MOVIN TRACIN to the tripod.
Place MOVIN TRACIN on the tripod head.
Attach MOVIN TRACIN to the tripod.
If you have a mount, secure the mount to both MOVIN TRACIN and the tripod, then attach them together.
Gently lift the device or check it by hand to ensure it is firmly secured to the tripod.
Please check the flat surface by a circular level indicator on the top.
If the device is tilted, your motion capture data may become distorted.
Reposition the tripod on a stable, flat surface if necessary.

Connect MOVIN TRACIN to your computer with the Ethernet cable.
Connect the Ethernet cable to MOVIN TRACIN's port.
Connect the Ethernet cable to your computer’s port.
If Ethernet port is not available, please connect via a USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
Use the Ethernet cable to connect MOVIN TRACIN directly to your computer
Avoid connecting through routers or network devices, as this may cause communication errors.
If your computer does not have enough Ethernet ports, use a USB to Ethernet Adapter to maintain a direct connection.

Provide the power to MOVIN TRACIN.
Connect the power cable to the MOVIN TRACIN power port.
Connect the power cable to the MOVIN TRACIN power port.
Wait about 1 to 1.5 minutes until the front green indicator stays steady.
If the indicator does not turn on or continues blinking, unplug and replug the power cable. This reset process usually resolves most power-related issues.
If the problem persists even after repeating the reconnect process multiple times, please reach out via the cs-chat channel on the MOVIN Discord server. We’ll assist you as quickly as possible.

Position MOVIN TRACIN facing a wide, open space.
(+) mark in the picture is the place for setting MOVIN TRACIN, at least 1.2m away from the Mocap Zone.
MOVIN TRACIN recognizes the motion capture area (Mocap Zone) starting from a distance of 1.2 meters from where the device is installed. Position MOVIN TRACIN facing a wide, open space.
The Mocap Zone is the area where MOVIN TRACIN detects and tracks human movement.
The Mocap Zone can be set from a minimum of 1m × 1m × 1.5m to a maximum of 5m × 5m × 3m.
